Downtown Halifax comes alive as Bedford Row and the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia Courtyard transform into the Rhythm & Soul Street Fest! This is a full-scale cultural celebration rooted in Afro-Latin rhythm, flavor, and movement.

From 6:30 PM, the evening kicks off with Afro-Latin street market featuring curated artisan vendors, sizzling street food, and vibrant community energy. Enjoy live music, pop-up dance showcases, and interactive dance classes for all ages. As night falls, the celebration shifts into high gear with a live Salsa, Bachata, and Merengue concert by Halifax’s own Son Latino.

Starting at 10:30 PM, Bedford Row turns into a fully licensed Afro-Caribbean Block Party (19+), featuring DJ Caesar • DJ Webber • DJ Laton witha blending of Afrobeats, Amapiano, Latin, Dancehall, and more.

6:30 PM – 10:00 PM: Phase 1 – Afro-Latin Street Market & Family Zone

• Artisan vendors, food trucks, and family-friendly vibes

• Licensed beer garden (112-capacity, 19+)

• Mini showcases (7:00–8:30 PM)

• Beginner Salsa class + dance showcase (8:00–9:00 PM)

• Live band: Son Latino (9:00–10:30 PM, all ages)

⚠️ Youth Clearance (9:30–10:00 PM)

• Minors will be cleared from Bedford Row before Phase 2

• Youth access managed via wristbands & phone registration

• Final security sweep ensures 19+ crowd for licensed portion

• Full street licensed as open-air party zone

• DJ sets featuring Afrobeats, Dancehall, Latin & Amapiano
