Jack and Jill SALSA & BACHATA Competition Format

 

Heat Assignments: OPEN LEVEL 

 

1. Randomly assign 3 leads and 3 follow into two heats. 

 

Pairing and Dance: Note all competitors will be judged as a couple (whoever you are paired with)  

 

- Randomly assign partners within each heat.

- Each couple will dance two songs: one slow and one fast.

- Each dance is capped at 2 minutes.

- Judges will score the couples using the same scorecard for both heats.

 

Advancement to Finals:

 

1. The highest-scoring couple from each heat will advance to the final round to compete for 1st and 2nd place. Partners will be randomly reassigned for this round.

2. The couple with the next highest score from either heat will advance to compete for 3rd place. Partners will be randomly reassigned again for this final dance.
